Yes there are skates to rent
Yes they have washrooms opened now.
The land trail is open with nets infront of the stage. Pretty sure the river trail was getting a good flood today!
Neon cone has fresh gelato and ice cream! Yum yum!
I seen lots of dogs on leashes
3-4 to see and do and eat at all the good spots
It's closed
Skating is free, but skate rentals are 6$ for adults and 4$ for children and seniors.
I had my ceremony in the Oodena Celebration Circle. Decently cheap at only $300 if I recall. Only thing was no covering if it rained (it didnt thank god) and it was a super hot day. All the pics were wonderful, everyone was wrapped around the front side with rented chairs for some and the steps for others. We even rented a slush machine for people to have before and after due to the heat.
yes
I have never seen thanos here, which immediately takes 1 star away, it should take all of them away but I actually like this place.
Need more retail. But otherwise very interesting. The history of the place is even more enthralling.
The forks is bar none the BEST spot for tourists! plenty of local shops, lots of diversity to be seen. There are a lot of options for great food, snacks, and drinks. The Canadian Museum for Human Rights is super closeby and is within walking distance too, I would recommend stopping by at least once if you haven't yet!
Beautiful place for a walk! Lots to see, fun shops to look in and my personal favourite is the icecream and London fogs!❤️
Came here twice in just a few days. This place can get busy but it’s so beautiful to be here. Places to sit and relax ( couches and tables to place games) lots of food places to choose from, great shopping , something for everyone. Big toy store and cute boutiques, great souvenirs and the views were magnificent. A must see in Winnipeg!
It's the hub for both tourist and locals. You can dine, drink wine, walk, jog or just sit near the lake. There's some bushes within the area where you can rest and explore. A lot of events are happening here as well so be sure you check out the entire place, it's not big so you can practically walk every inch of it.
I love this place at any time of the year. A very nice atmosphere. You can have a tasty snack, drink a coffee, or buy some souvenirs. On some evenings you can enjoy salsa dancing here. In winter there is a wonderful ice skating.
Amazing place for all ages, there is always something going on here for people of all ages.
This place is great for family and friend gatherings. Besides the beautiful views, The Forks is also very historical, as dinosaurs and early First Nations settlers shared this important location.
Great beer-wine gardens in summer! Wonderful place to meet people and chill
Very great families' outgoing place. Open air beside the river. Not all the shops and restaurants inside the market are open. Many sanitizer spray bottles to use when entering or exiting the market building.
Oh man! Way too many shops in this wonderful area are closed! It's just not the same! Johnston Terminal was empty of several shops.
Much improved shops and interior promenade. Clean and interesting to walk through. Outside courtyard was a pleasant surprise over what it had been. In covid times the Forks management has done a good job.
A great place to walk around, have a bite to eat with a drink, also check out the antique mall in the basement. Cool store. Lots to do at the forks.
Meeting place for every kind. Geese buddies hangout there. Attractions all thru out. Refreshments available. Directional time and mind puzzle art. Don't climb on the art...boo-hoo-too-that.
As always a beautiful place to visit. All the shops have something for everyone. Lots of options for food and drink (yes even alcoholic beverages). Its a busy place during the summer months, the museum for human rights not being too far from the forks ( a must see, even just once).
Had a great dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory. Chicken mushroom ravioli was yummy. Then enjoyed a beverage at the outdoor Common..The Forks is a Winnioeg treasure!
Always lots going on at the Forks! The food court has great options and the Common's outdoor beer patio is a nice place to hangout during the day/night. The trails around the Forks are also nice for a leisurely stroll.
Beautiful day for a bike ride along the river to the forks. I didn't go into any businesses, but a did get myself a beer and chill out on the grass for a while. I watched the geese as they came up to me, thinking I had food for them. And I watched the people. Because they were all beautiful. The trail along the river is still pretty muddy in some areas, but I can't blame that on the forks. Looking forward to biking there again, once things have dried out a little bit.
I grew up an hour from Winnipeg in a little corner of the country. I will tell you. I enjoyed my childhood. We had some pretty nice rinks to skate on. But NOTHING. I repeat nothing compares with the joy of skating down the long river trails at the forks. The ice snapping under your skates, the air cold in your lungs. Afterward you HAVE to buy coffee and mini doughnuts from inside. This is a great place to see different cultures blend in Winnipeg, to buy great food and have great experiences. I recommend.
I love the new Forks makeover, the additional out door seating is greatly appreciated....thankyou to whomever was responsible for that decision....5 stars & 2 thumbs up 👍👍
Great place. Lots of great historical sites. Great food. Awesome bus tours.
This is a great central location for the city. There are a few decent restaurants in the area and the Common is great! Shops are nice and feature a lot of local talent, which is great! The atmosphere is always upbeat. Great place to spend a day!
This little plaza was amazing, we stopped because they had Fergie's fish and chips and the reviews for them were very good. And we took the time to walk around This building too. There was quite a bit to see and lots of snazzy little restaurants to choose from for food as well! They also have this mini donut shop that are absolutely delicious !
One of the best places in Winnipeg to hangout with friends or go on a date. They have different kinds of activities in summer and winter. This place is full of diverse gift shops and restaurants. If you are in this place, don't forget to go all the way top to the elevator and check out the watch tower.
Forks has put priority on trying to be hip and failing miserably at it. Sad to see this happen. Putting booze sales and lame food selections ahead of being family friendly and authentic.
Really cool place to visit! Tons of things to do with the family, any type of food you can imagine. The place was very clean and well kept, i really enjoyed vacationing in the area.
Nice place to hang out with friends or family. Next to the park. Not many food outlets but they do offer a variety of choices. Nice interior. Peaceful and roomy.
What a great spot to spend a day. Lots of variety of shops and eating places, nice walking paths and attractions.
Very nice place! Lots of entertainment, shopping and dining options. Great spot for a happy hour with friends. The Forks offer a whole indoor and outdoor complex. During winter time you can ice skate on their trails or the frozen river, play hockey and curling and much more. A must see if you’re in town. Would recommend.
Top notch 2020 redesign of plaza for Phase 3. Perfect blend of distance and intimacy, well staffed and clean!
Love the Forks! One of my favorite places to go. Even tho it rained there's always lots to see and do there. Love the way it looks now! 💜💜
They got rid of free parking, and it is always crazy busy. Sure some of the restaurants and shops are neat, it's so busy that rarely can you find a spot inside to enjoy your meal. As well, they are getting rid of lots of green space downtown. Not a fan.
It's been cleaned up and given the covid situation, it's a good place...I still think parking should be free. It would go further to help the local businesses. mho
Not bad...kinda slow, but to be expected these days. Low selection for interest, unless you're hungry or thirsty. The stores/shops that are open, are great though!
The forks is the reason Winnipeg is here. Lots of specialty shops and tons of good food. I am especially find of the Caribbean rotis. They have added a bunch of chaise lounges and Adirondack chairs in the large area overlooking the water which are really nice.
This is my go to place. There is so much to do here. There is food, museums, restaurants, activities, skating, shopping, etc. You can sit inside and enjoy delicious food, there are so many different options for food. You can enjoy ice cream, mini donuts etc. There are ice rinks during winter, you can enjoy skating on the river. During summer, there are so many festivals going on here. There are museums so close. You can go on the boat and enjoy seeing historic places. There is rich history in this place as well. If you are in Winnipeg, this is a must!!
The outdoor bar is a very nice touch- had a smoothie from one of the vendors- fantastic- our poor review does not reflect the employees or service at any of the fork's vendors, markets, restaurants, etc. It reflects the disrespectful people within the general public who were not even slightly considering practicing social distancing measures! Tonite was terrible- was there July 1st, a forks staff member was monitoring safe distance measures on forks' premises- saw no body tonite enforcing the safe distancing measures- it was very uncomfortable.
I loved it! Friendly proprietors, good food and great selection of food vendors. It reminded me of a few places in Vancouver, New Westminster and North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is where I live.Considering the high water level the area experienced and still deal with plus the pandemic responses, The Forks seems to be an ideal place to see whether you're a tourist or not.I would go again but I hope that the top of the tower will actually be open to the public next time. Lol. THAT was a whole lot of steps to climb only to find out the door to the deck was locked. Thank goodness for the elevator for the ride down!p.s. if anyone who sees this loves to belly dance AND lives in the area, there is a shop inside that sells coin belts and coin-fabric hip scarves at reasonable prices. There are a couple of gem shops, a book store and two souvenir shops inside you may find to your liking, too. There were a few more shops but they were closed by the time we left.
Great place to meet up with people. good choices to eat and drink.Lots to see and do with all the history. Also close to other attractions to Winnipeg.
My favourite part of Winnipeg. Intriguing history, delicious food and craft beer at the forks market and of course the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. Also don't miss out the odenna circle!
The market has lots of unique shopping on the 2nd floor but the commons is the spot. A craft beer and wine bar is in the centre of several unique food kiosks. It's like a highend food cart. Super busy and worth waiting for a seat.
One of the best places in winnipeg. Has pretty good scenic views and walks. Good food, good restaurants. Its like a small mall but looks really nice.
The forks is a very nice place that has a wide variety of restaurant and cafes from different countries around the world. The place is WiFi covered and has lots of seats. There are some souvenirs shops, there are also some Bakeries and Ice-cream places. You can find outside some warming huts too.It is A very nice place where you can go different times and every time you go, you experience something new or different!!
Many major cities have markets that are big tourist attractions. The Forks is Winnipeg's. Whenever I visit one (Reading Terminal in Philadelphia or Pike Place Market in Seattle for example), I'm glad I went, but never wowed. Honestly, The Forks was much cooler than Pike Place in Seattle. The food was high quality (we had brick oven pizza), the shops were cute, and there were some quality craft beers. However, it was super busy. We stopped at the craft beer place, waited forever in line for a beer each, and then walked around for 15 minutes, trying to find a place to sit. We ended up sitting at a large table with a family. I never get why places like this don't do multiple small tables instead of huge ones? The shops were cute as well, including some local art and tourist shops. They even had a barber shop. We ended up returning twice to just try different places.
Always something new to enjoy at the Forks. Noticed they sell beer outside now some nights. Gotta get out there again soon
I'm leaving town and I will absolutely miss this place. It should be the first and last place to visit for anyone in winnipeg.
Ate lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory 🏭 it was perfect Service was good covid clean
Going to the forks is always a relaxing time. There's a variety of vendors to make for a enjoyable time.
The updates are nice, but the food and drinks are very expensive. Hate the fact that there's very little free parking. Due to how expensive everything is, this isn't somewhere I'd go very often.
